Why is ESPN/NFL Network dedicating a segment on number of black coaches?

Big debate on why the last group of NFL coaches hired were all white. Is it because you hire by skill content and expertise and not skin color, maybe?

Why are 70% of NFL players black? Is it because they are black or because they are superior at what they do? Why are 70% of NBA players black? Simple, because they possess the best skill set for the job description, not because they are black.

This whole black/white PC,liberal, progressive garbage is killing everything.

Hire the best guy for the job, skin color should not have any influence on the decision of the person doing the hiring.

Because race is an issue that draws ratings AND is currently at the forefront of American politics.

You only say that when you are on the more profitable side if you can get more crying you do it. That's liberal 101

They need a rule for players like they have for coaches. Anytime there's a position open a white guy should be brought in to try out before the position is given to a black guy.

Believe it or not, I believe Jason Sehorn was the last white guy to start an NFL game at cornerback back in 2003.

Think about that. If I am right, there hasn't been one white guy in the world that is fast or athletic enough to play CB in the NFL according to all of the scouts and GM's. Pretty amazing if my memory is correct.

the number of head coaches in the NFL should be the same as the number of cornerbacks in the NFL.

There are plenty of things wrong with ESPN's coverage of this, but your argument is a terrible way to go about doing it.

Because it's politically correct and we're supposed to love every accomplishment of successful black people jammed down our throat?

Whoa whoa whoa there man! Now you just wait a damn minute! Quit with all that logic please, it's making my head hurt.

Clearly, we should be hiring out of fairness and not skill. Maybe we can get ole boy off Alliquipa street who was in Long's video to be the next Chief of police? I mean, it's only fair right?

Diversity is not supposed to mean hiring lesser qualified people just because of the race of the applicant.

Remember the MLK, Jr. quote: I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Wow, how quickly we have forgotten the content of the character part and fallen head first into judgement based on nothing but race. Sad, sad, sad.

I've given up on ESPN. All I want from a sports network is live games, scores, and analysis.

And ESPN is just becoming way too SJW for my tastes.

Because apparently ESPN is the newest SJW outlet. It's getting annoying.
