I like the new blazer besides the price. But....they should have made an off road type of blazer
Yeah, the new Chevy Blazer is a legitimately good vehicle. The RS model has that fancy torque vectoring rear diff and very good handling as a result. The styling is very distinctive too.
I just wish they'd have called it something else and reserved the Blazer name for an off road truck.
As it is, the Chevy Blazer is a Ford Edge or Nissan Murano competitor. Ford is cancelling the Edge crossover and shutting down the factory in Canada where it's made. I guess that's another area where Chevrolet has one-upped Ford.

I can think of 3 people recently who have traded in GM products for Hyundai SUVs

I can think of 3 people that have traded F-250s with very problematic Powerstroke diesels for superior products from GMC and Toyota.

But the Tundra is the better truck, in spite of the interior.

Doesn't mean there's a market or even capability to produce 10 million vehicles a year like GM does.
Tesla is more valuable than GM, FORD, BMW and VW combined I think.
Not to hate on Tesla, but it's valuation isn't rooted in reality.

EcoBoost, aluminum bodies and electric engines?
Please.
I've tried to convince myself to buy Ford vehicles a couple times over the years and just can't do it. They feel cheap to me after you've been in a GMC.

My dad had this Blazer that I drove in high school. Loved it. Thought I’d be a Chevy guy for life.
What have they become?
The new one is a very good vehicle.....so long as you are expecting a sporty crossover and are willing to pay $45K+ for it. It's not for off roading.

In my experience, Fords feel even more behind the competitors after 100,000 miles. I'm convinced that Ford can glue a blue oval on dog shite and Ford people would rave about how it's the best thing they've ever owned.
Their buyers clearly have extremely low standards. I guess it's the "buy American" thing that keeps them behind the wheel of an unreliable pickup truck or rattly, cheap feeling SUV. A lot of them just trade it in after 4-5 years for another Ford that's equally as crappy.

Toyota’s are even worse
Toyota trucks can go a year without seeing a mechanic. Ford trucks can't.

Nothing new. F-150s have outsold Chevys and Dodges for years and isn’t even close.
Really? 2020 Q1 numbers!

Companies are getting way ahead of themselves with electric.
There's not going to be a huge market for a long time.
What?
The Model 3 is one of the top selling cars (#1 in revenue) in the country, and it's the top seller in California.
And this is without a Tesla dealership in every town. If anything the market for electric is underserved.

I love my Sierra, but the paint is absolute garbage and chips if you breathe on it wrong.

Not really a Ford, Chevy guy. I like mid size trucks because of mileage and price. I just brought a GMC Canyon and really like it

80% of GM production is shut down right now because of wiring harnesses made in Mexico. (Should be a lesson learned right there)
My local Chevrolet dealership has 2, 2!!!!!, new vehicles on the lot right now.
But it won't take long and you are going to see the new Tahoe/Suburban running all over town as it becomes the hot new thing as all of these vehicles ebb and flow through popularity.
