I'm a Chevy guy, but Ford is pulling away with new technology and new vehicles. Ford is coming out with the electric Mach E mustang, a new bronco line, and they will have electric trucks before GM. Why is GM slacking? They should have came up with a off road vehicle to compete with the Wrangler. Also, Chevy trucks have cheap interiors while the f150 and Ram offer better.
The only positive with GM is the new mid engine Corvette which is selling for much more than invoice

My Silverado is very nice.

I like the new Ford products.

But, GM is still producing nice products.

Companies are getting way ahead of themselves with electric.
There's not going to be a huge market for a long time.

My dad had this Blazer that I drove in high school. Loved it. Thought I’d be a Chevy guy for life.

What have they become?

I’m in a 2017 Denali Sierra that I prefer aesthetically to anything Ford has on the road.

One thing that kept me out of a Silverado was being stuck with a 5.3 on a mid level trucks. Ram and Ford put Hemis and 3.5s in everything.

What I don’t get is why Ford gets a pass on their truck interiors while GM gets the bad press. I’d venture to say the Silverado is a nicer place to sit.

That kind of thing swings between Ford and Chevy depending on styling, innovations...and just sometimes happens for no apps aren’t reason

Nothing new. F-150s have outsold Chevys and Dodges for years and isn’t even close.

It’s about time for Ford to figure this out. Chevy has had a long range EV for 4+ years. Tesla has had one for even longer.

The Hummer EV truck is coming out next year. Ford will be second to GM. Possibly third if Tesla gets their shite together on the Cybertruck.

Like the ZR2 Colorado? That truck is an off road beast, and it’s been available for years. For a while it was the only pickup available with front and rear locking diffs from the factory. The Raptor doesn’t even have that.

Ford has been talking about the Bronco for 6 years. An entire generation of Chevy trucks have come and gone in that time frame. The Bronco still isn’t here.

That being said, an SUV based on the Colorado ZR2 would be a low effort way to sell a lot of high margin vehicles. Not sure why they aren’t doing that.

The Hummer EV is going to be on sale soon - but that’s probably well over $100,000.

Ford interiors are shite. The higher trim Rams are nice.

They are the only truck maker gaining market share over the past year, and they have just released their new line of full sized SUVs. That’s a market that they flat out own with 65%+ market share.

The local paper has run a few stories on how shitty the new Explorer is. It’s made in a plant nearby.

Honestly GM is not a well run company, but Ford is even worse. Ford has missed the boat on China and has completely shite the bed on critical new product. Outside of pickup trucks, the blue oval may as well not exist.

They aren’t.

To some people, nothing looks better parked in front of their LP trailer than a Mustang or F-250. Good for them.

The rest of us know that the competing automakers are simply better - including Hyundai, VW, Buick, Chevy, and Nissan but especially BMW, Toyota, and Honda.

Same here. I wanted the 6.2 and was willing to pay for it, but I didn’t want the high trim package and it’s high cost.

Doesn't mean there's a market or even capability to produce 10 million vehicles a year like GM does.

Tesla is more valuable than GM, FORD, BMW and VW combined I think.

Not to hate on Tesla, but it's valuation isn't rooted in reality.

I like Ford and love my Mustang. The Mach E is not a Mustang. I don't understand the marketing.

I have 3 GMC’s and each have had zero issues. One at 179k, one at 90k the last at 128k. All run like new, none have been in the shop other than routine maintenance.

Knock on wood!

There was a time when Yahoo was more valuable than GM.

Toyota sold 25x the number of cars they did last year, and had approximately 10x their revenue.

I'm not comparing Tesla to Yahoo. Tesla is innovative and ambitious and is driving obvious change in the auto industry.

I'm just saying overall valuation doesn't always mean something.
