By kneeling during the national anthem, dummy.

They are kneeling in support of an organization that is explicitly opposed to Western Civilization, that is opposed to the "nuclear family", that is opposed to the idea of American exceptionalism.

That’s about as stupid a quote as I’ve ever heard. Once you’re dead you lost everything including your freedom, dumbass. You’re not free! YOU’RE DEAD!

It takes some years to realize, and maybe current events will make you understand quicker; in death, that’s the only time you are truly free.....

What’s sad is that Brees is not some marginal player desperate for a job who might be scared to rock the boat. He’s a first ballot hall of famer at the tail end of his career and many millions in the bank. He doesn’t need anyone.

I think some of you should remember the impact he has made on our community. One PR nightmare event where he bent to a tidal wave of social pressure and bullying does not erase everything he has done.
You mean just like John McDonogh, Sophie B. Wright, Thomas Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington, Columbus, Lee, Churchill, Gandhi, and many more who have made great societal contributions are also being honored and remembered these days?

Let's assume he had told everyone to go F themselves and just retired. Given the current political climate and how the loony tunes are dominating this culture war, I'm not so sure he is a first ballot hall of famer anymore despite his nearly untouchable numbers.

After Brees worked so hard to cultivate that good guy, "aw shucks" image, he was torn down spectacularly. I never saw it coming. The one saving grace.., at least he waited until the NFL stopped mattering.

Amazing times we live in.

Did Drew Brees REALLY tweet that silly observation about the film "Braveheart" ??!!?? IN THIS FREAKING POLITICAL ENVIRONMENT??

He's too ignorant and tone deaf to be on social media. He should turn over his ENTIRE social media presence to a paid publicity firm. Drew - take my advice. Hire a publicist and turn over your entire media presence to that publicist.

William Wallace actually didn't bend his knee and died for his convictions.

The irony abounds.

Drew simply needs to shut up...

what these overprivileged morons need to realize is that if there are no fans, there is no NFL....AND no money!!!!

the Brees situation is just sad. all that rich boy had to do was stand up for once in his life and be a man and he was set .... yet he chose to bow down ...

...and not realizing that bowing down only emboldens them, that his apology would be ridiculed and only open the door for more demands.

Why are you posting? Same reason: because he can. Leave him be. Forget about it. Nothing you do will change anything he does or says. Go mow your lawn and stay off of his.

I don't think I agree with the person you responded to, but that's a pretty silly response.

Maybe you are misunderstanding the meaning of the quote. Many a soldier, including those fighting the American Revolution, believed to fight and die in the name of freedom for the collective was a worthy cause. To many, their death meant freedom for their people.

While I agree with yall that Brees is a grade A cuck, I'm not sure why you guys are upset with him here just because he quoted the most quotable quote in the one of the most memorable movies of all time. Some of yall need to calm the frick down.
