It ain’t just BR. I was driving north on the thruway from BROUSSARD to I10 and there was about a mile and a half of garbage- just shite- that was strewn all over the median. I’m sure it flew out of a garbage truck, but the fact hat it happens regularly and it takes a while to clean it up tells you how sorry this state is regarding litter.

I drove down Acadian a few weeks ago... from North Acadian all the way to LSU Avenue. The vast difference in circumstances on that one road is shocking. I don’t have an answer as to how to fix it but I recommend anyone in BR take the 20 minutes to see that drive

North Acadian isn't exactly a good place to be during the daytime.

Agreed, was picking something up for work on Choctaw. Took the ‘scenic’ route ???? unreal how 3 miles change your whole world. Not arguing at all that BR is run down. Yep it is

If Baton Rouge wants to fix its problems, just bring more Asians in by the bus load. They are peaceful, mind their own business and plant nice big gardens with flowers and trees that give off more oxygen to the air.

Completely agree that as a culture they are very peaceful and mind their own business, but the litter issue in BR would quadruple overnight.

Chinatown is the one area where I live that is a complete dump. Trash everywhere in the streets. Great food though.

My statements are ridiculous? I’m answering why Br is rundown jackass. People don’t want to buy up rundown areas like ones I listed they leave them to rot therefore 75% if the city is a rundown dump. Simple.

Because people would rather sit in traffic for an hour after work than have black neighbors.

FIFY. I don't think the vast majority of people in the area mind black people. They just don't want aspiring rappers with pants below their arse moving in nextdoor.

Not buying it. If 10% of people fitting that description moved to Baton Rouge right now, demographics drastically change, and the city vastly improves. Have fun driving 10mph home.

I live 4 miles from work. We also pay 12k for private school to avoid sending my daughter to the public school with a 47% graduation rate
