98.1 has had the same 40 songs on shuffle for the past 10 years. I agree. It's bleak in BR
Yet they still make money.....so apparently someone is listening.
Let's see if we can name the 40 songs that are in the shuffle...
I'll start with a couple:
1) Hotel California (Eagles)
2) More Than a Feeling (Boston)

98.1 would be dead without LSU sports

A true example of sucking less then the competition. 98.1 sucks, but all the others suck moose dick. It's the only reason they are profitable. That and the LSU sports deal.

Radio isn't adapting imo. I'd rather pay for satellite radio where I can get less ads and new music. If you want to hear new rock like I do you're not going to get it on the radio. They play music from 15-20 years ago only it seems.

I find it hard to listen to 98.1. Too many commercials. It basically seems like there's a 1:1 split between music and commercials.
KLSU is the best radio station in Baton Rouge.

What kind of shitty speaker system/Aux cord are you using? Aux sounds 1000 percent better than half static radio stations
Sorry, did not mean to offend. I don't have a shitty speaker system (quite the opposite)
Yes, an aux cable is better than a half static radio station, but not as good as a USB connection

The ads are unbearable. They are worse now that they are offering ad time at a steal because they are hurting

They've been playing their core group of same songs for the last 15-20 years at least. Still the best FM option in/ around baton rouge these. Sucked whenever 93.7 and 96.5/105.1 bit the bullet

6) I'll add Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin). I had a friend who DJ'ed at a classic rock station a while back. He said that if I ever tuned in and Stairway to Heaven was playing, then he was most likely in the crapper.

Spotify bruh.. Why people pay for satellite radio when you could pay for spotify premium and get way more bang for your buck I'll never know.
Because I also enjoy listening to sports, Howard Stern, news, comedy,etc...why not both?
