If it saves just ONE life...
Why don't we ask the families of those people who have lost their livelihoods from this disease? Or the families of those who committed suicide over the loss of livelihood or the depression from being locked down and unable to go anywhere or do anything? When the dust settles and the math is finally done accurately, there's a high probability that more people will have been killed by the cure than were the disease.

Why would anyone give a shite what JP Morgan says about a virus?

In five years, none of the idiots on here who were Chinese Flu True Believers will admit they were. There will be a lot of TD post history scrubbing once they admit to themselves how embarrassing their support for the shutdown was.

I use JP Morgan for all my investments and they are very good at what they do but at using a positive report on a virus from a bank that wants to reopen everything so it's investments rebound.

JP Morgan does a study that shows that infection rates drop significantly after states end lockdowns
No they didn’t.
They showed that infection rates didn’t really change before/after lockdown, implying that it was severely depressed by another factor, likely environmental, that existed before and after lockdown.
And the term in question isn’t r(O) here.
It’s r(t).
And if you are curious at how it trends state by state, this is a great resource:

I had a doctor's appointment today. Couldn't take mask off at all. Temp checks before you enter. Marked spots where to stand on elevator.
I'm assuming this will go on for a while.

I honestly don’t mind the social distancing in stores and stuff.
I just miss sports!

90k isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things when you consider how may people are in this country. Wait until you find out how many Americans die in car accidents in 4 months. Should we ban cars too..?

No, we shouldn't ban cars.
But maybe we should have speed limits, seat belt laws, safety driving courses, car manufacturer regulations, and an entire host of other regulations all centered around "public safety"
seriously people...stop using driving cars as your analogy on this because its a dumb one as you are basically arguing for regulations

It's because the Karens of the O-T don't want to admit they were wrong about all of this. Fortunately, there is a record of who they are and therefore a record of who we know we can't count on when shite really hits the fan.
This really should have been /thread right here. But they seem to continue to double down!

What's hilarious is that there are 100x more "this won't kill 1000 people" posts than there are "millions will die!" posts.

I believe RollTide predicted less than 100 people in the US would die
but he was definitely right all this time

Nope.
My cousin is an ER nurse in San Diego and I spoke to her just the other day and this is complete bullshite.
I'm not saying it's over 200, but it sure as shite isn't six.

Nah. When this thing first started back in Feb/ March; you had very few on this board saying no one would die it was all bullshite. And they were continuously told that they didn’t care about MeeMaw, Karen.
Don’t try to reinvent history.

It should definitely be taken seriously. It did some massive damage to the New York area, Wuhan, North Italy, Spain etc. it continues to wreck Brazil and Russia.
I think your point is correct that there is significant reasons to be optimistic moving forward since the spikes haven’t happened like predicted.
My hopes are definitely rising that we’ll have a pretty normal fall and football season. Hopefully we’ll get people back to work again and life will be back to being good by 2021.
