Never mind, I get it. That explains the constant supply of meth scabs for the pizzas as well.

I order door dash 6-8 times/month. The places I order from have safety sealed bags that the food comes in.

Thanks for the eye opener. I think this kind of crap is more common than people think. Good way to get your kicks inventing new ways to gross out delivered food.

One of my favorite restraunts in town has an option to buy a round of beers for the kitchen staff for 16$. Those guys work really hard, and they're always really appreciative

See, I still think this is more of a meme than a reality, but if it is a widespread truth, it just makes me say the robots can’t get here fast enough so that all you nasty ungrateful frickers are unemployed. I’ll even tip a robot just to spite you.
Is what it is. When I worked in food service and some a-hole came in 5 minutes before closing, I slow-walked it to make sure it was lukewarm at best. Then I started locking the door 3 minutes before closing and hiding in the kitchen with my coworkers laughing our asses off at clueless douchebags who pulled on the door.

I get it sucks that someone walks in before closing but you did take the job with the hours of operation clearly on the door

It's ridiculously priced and if I have two legs and (if necessary) a car, I'm just going to go get it for myself most of the time. I don't want someone else driving around getting my food that I could have gotten myself.
Just my personal philosophy.

Last time I got DoorDash delivered I could have got high from opening the bag… it was like they smoked a blunt in our driveway. I narc’ed on them thru customer service and got meal refunded plus 50$ credit. I do pickup now.

A while back we ordered some food from door dash.
The driver never showed up. We called the number he texed "I'll be there at xxx" and he said he accidently brought it to the business across the street.
We told him we checked there and they didn't have it, and asked if it could have been delivered somewhere else.
He told us to "frick off, it isn't my problem"...and cussed us up and down for asking so many questions about the order.
We told him we would take it up with door dash if he couldn't help us with the food or getting a credit...
He laughed and said good luck with that shite, and hung up.
The company gave us a credit (less than that meal) that we will never use.
These companies that don't see their employees lose out on some kind of accountability factor.
That guy didn't give AF if we got our food or not, even thought it was his fault, and he didn't give AF about his invisible boss finding out about it.

You never got your food, and you got a credit for less than the value of the meal? Was that on top of a full refund? Because that tidbit would be rather important

I honestly don't remember. Might have been.
I just remember the 20 year old kid cussing me out and thinking what kind of a world am I living in when this scenario happens and little punks get to deliver my food to the wrong house and then tell me to fk myself when I ask why I didn't get my food.

There are no employees who drive for Doordash the drivers are all 1099 contractors. The only thing the drivers are held accountable for is making sure they don’t violate the terms of the driver contract. These companies deactivate tons of people everyday for extreme customer complaints especially if this a-hole told you to “frick off, it wasn’t his problem” the line these people use is directly tied to Doordash where the support people can listen to phone calls between a driver and a customer, just FYI next time, if you ever decide to use them again.

Why would anyone EVER tip before the transaction/service is completed?
Posted on 1/3/23 at 9:59 pm to bobBoxer
I give big tips and the doordashers check knuckles over who gets to drop off my order.
Hmm... think i'll order sonic tomorrow.
kidding i don't use that shite. i get my family meals catered multiple times a week by a personal chef. It aint cheap but its healthy and tasty and my kids always look forward to what he comes up with next.

I door dash all the time. 95% of the stuff I order gets delivered in a bag and/or boxes with seals on it. Don’t really see how someone could mess with it. Have had 0 issues using it, but I’m also generous with tips.
