So basically the 2nd shot proves it is working? Does everyone actually need and second shot or not? This is a legitimate question. One shot of modern/Pfizer is supposedly more effective of 1 J&J. We have been told this. Is that false and you really need both shots?
The first one produces an antibody response and gives great immunity after a couple of weeks. The second one is reinforcement to produce long lasting immunity. When you get it, not only will your body know to immediately produce the antibodies, but it learns to attack with T cells as well. Antibodies will be gone in a few months, but the other killer cells will remember that spike protein and be around for a long time to immediately step in and kill that virus if it's ever reintroduced into your body.

Had Covid first week January. Coughed 1st day of symptoms only. Fatigued 6 or 7 days. Had various aches and soreness as well. Leg aches, arm aches, neck towards the end. Never more than a day for the aching in a specific body part. Never ran an actual fever, but felt like it.
Received 1st Phizer dose on Wednesday at 2pm. Arm soreness gone today. Wednesday evening a little tired. Same Thursday morning. Around 11am Thursday started feeling soreness / aches all over, and more tired. Got up 11pm last night for water and had chills.
Woke up this morning good as new.

Got my first moderna vaccine 3 weeks ago and woke up at 4 am feeling like I had been hit by a train. Had a fever, chills, and body aches all day. By 7 pm tho I felt better. Have to take the second one next week and I’m def not looking forward to it.

I had covid 19 in August 2020. Basically two weeks of illness with all the familiar symptoms- fever, joint soreness, complete lack of appetite, zero energy, loss of smell and taste. I got my first Pfizer vaccine 10 days ago. I was fine all day- had lunch, exercised, and had a couple of beers that night. I woke up during the night with fever and aches. I ended up sleeping for 10 hours. By noon I felt a little better and the fever had dissipated. But I was sluggish for another day. I will take the second vaccine April 6 and it will be interesting to see if the second dose knocks me down like the first dose.

Lots of what you said is incorrect, but your post demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding that would take longer than the character count of TD to correct.
So, I'll just call you an idiot.
Be part of the solution, then. Correct me on just one of the things i said that were incorrect. I’m all ears.

was sick for three days after the first shot and could barely lift my arm up.
Probably you already had been exposed to the virus.

It's an immunology thing. A different molecular weight antibody is produced on your second exposure.

50 out of how many total who got 2nd dose?
A few hundred.
Of the approximately 50 percent of the 1800 employees who elected to take the vaccine it was split pretty evenly between the two brands. It was then staggered by groups. We were massively short staffed that day. It was also a Friday so the skeptic in me thinks it was probably used as an excuse by at least a percentage of that group. With that said there may have been a few others sick over the weekend.

The second dose kicked my dad's arse. Mother in law too. Honestly it makes me a little less amped to run out and get one.
