Why doesn't YETI just make an ice chest out of the tumbler material?

Straight up. Serious question.

Cuz baws would be too broke from buying the ice chest to buy the sticker
Plus another brand who charges a fraction of what they do would have a better product yet again

I feel like one of the copy cats could jump ahead of them on this one.

Colman made ice chests out of this shite in the 40's and 50's

Yeah man. They need to just make the whole airplane out of the black box material too.

There's really no material
It's just stainless that has a vacuum inside of it
To make an icechest rigid enough to withstand any abuse, the stainless would probably have to be thicker and heavier than the tumblers by a good bit

Yeah....made by Yeti!!!!
With EXTRA stickers!!!

Because if they made it out of stainless steel rather than cheap plastic, they'd have to charge > $1000 for it, and they know the limit on what some baws are just willing to pay to keep their natty light cold.

I thought the tumblers were made out of aluminum, not stainless steel.
Never mind. I see they're made from 18/8 SS

7-10 years from today. Yeti probably won't even sell ice chest anymore. They're going to have to go in a different direction to stay a company.
