This deserves its own thread. You should start it.

For kicks and giggles, go to tRant and ask whether LSU would have won it all this year with a barefoot kicker and a barefoot qb.

This at least is an improvement over the "Men's Thong" thread from yesterday.

Yep. The whitewash contained a lot of lime which supposedly helped keep the insects at bay.

Came here for this reply. My Aunt still makes these things called cocoons that look just like the white dog poo of yore.

Russell Erxleben

Of course, the Saints burnt a 1st round draft pick, 11th overall, on a barefoot kicker from UT

Wonder if he’s still doing time?

Why don't people paint the trunks of their trees white any longer?

It’s been done in various parts of the world to purportedly protect from sun, insects, and other pests, as well as for cultural or aesthetic reasons.

The only folks who did it where I grew up were poor, rural, black folks. Every tree in the yard would be “whitewashed” to about 4 or 5 feet. The same folks often had zero grass in the front yard. Just hard packed dirt.

Remember when people wrapped oak trees with foil during caterpillar season?

Our dog also got into the Christmas candy one time and had glittered foil in poop for some time.

We quit using ground bones in dog food. Pet food used to be bone meal and as the poop disintegrated the bone meal was left behind. We use other fillers and chemicals now.

This is mildly interesting. Thank you.

Because dog food manufacturers stopped putting as much bone meal in the mix. Organic poop decays. Bone meal remains.

Like all processed food, there are more binders & preservatives. Those aren't digestible and they don't breakdown like old school crap. Preserved and bound turds come out.

Probably because it's not getting washed by the acid rain anymore.
