There is no potential to be had in New Orleans East. It would be better served to let mother nature take it back over. I can't even stand driving on I-10 through it for fear bullets are going to fly, or some piece of shite hooptie going 90mph is going to lose control when the driver decides to take the Read exit at the last second...from the far left lane cutting off two lanes of traffic. Happens every time.

Tons of money has been invested in Nola. Not just the government investments (VA Hospital, LSU Medical Center/Hospital, schools,roads), but a whole hell of a lot of new condos and retail investments have been done. Not to mention several new hotel build outs and major renovations. Add in the out of state folks buying second homes and properties to AirBNB, and it's a sizable amount.
New Orleans East is a lost cause unless you count someone trying to do something industrial focused near the water. The residential and retail situation there sucks.

Yes a lot too complain about with Nola but they are making big efforts to improve the infastructure

Pawn shops, auto parts stores, convenience stores, mechanic shops, Popeyes, beauty and nail salons,

There is investment potential and people with money in New Orleans. Plenty of people with money honestly. The city isn't without its problems, but New Orleans East offers nothing positive. Unless you like the possibility of being hit by a stray bullet.

Actually. I was with a friend that needed diesel and we were headed on a road trip and couldn’t find any diesel in the city.
We were well armed and well aware of our surroundings.
