I just tell them I don't want the receipt if there's a zero percent chance I'm going to return the item. Maybe I'll take it on a new TV. I'd say I tell them to toss it 97% of the time.

No shite. Last time I was in CVS I picked up 1 tube of nasal spray that cost right at $4, paid cash at the checkout and got a receipt I could have got a good start on my biography on.

Yeah, way too much, but they were very large beefsteak tomatoes.
Publix is expensive, but they were open and on my way home. Quick run in and get out fast situation.
