It was expected for years. Thirty minutes was the standard. Now it's 50 minutes an hour and a half. frick. It's pizza.

Are you able to drive from the pizza place to your house in 15 minutes... considering 15 minutes to prepare and bake your order?

There's your answer.

15 minutes to prepare and cook is about four minutes more than needed, the remaining fifteen minutes for delivery is why they limit the delivery radius

In all honesty I used to work pizza delivery at Papa John’s in college.

Most drivers take 2-3 orders on one run to consolidate and reduce overhead. There isn’t enough volume to warrant a single order on one run unless it’s way out of the way.

Keep in mind also that in the 90’s we didn’t have UberEats and other apps.

do you think its "supposed" to be raw?

it takes an average of 5 minutes to lay it out and add the toppings, then 15 minutes to cook, another 5 to take it out, cut it and box it, thats 25 minutes right there.

the 30 minutes or its free started by giving you raw half cooked pizza just put in oven long enough to half way melt the cheese.

if you want a "good" and fresh pizza that is cooked properly it takes 30 minute minimum to make it and allow 20-30 minutes for delivery, so an hour is what you "should" expect. anything done faster will be half cooked garbage with crunchy raw veggies on it

Not in a pizza oven. It would be burnt to a crisp.

Good and fresh pizza will have a legit pizza oven that takes 3-5 minutes to cook.

With Uber Eats and Postmates being so cheap why would anyone ever go pick their own take out these days unless you’re have a few drinks at the bar?

shite, I sent Uber Eats to pick up some wings for me at Chicken and Watermelon at midnight on a Friday night a few weeks ago.

You think I’m going to that place at that time of night to pick up food??

There is a Pizza Hut literally two blocks from my house. Delivery always takes 45 minutes, but take-out only takes 15. What do they do for that extra 30 minutes?

Man, I must be the only "well-done" pizza fan. If you can cook my pizza and be at my house in 30 minutes then you just delivered me some disgusting shite.

That’s fine, but then don’t complain when it isn’t there faster.

Walmart brand pizza that you bake at home is very good
It's ok, not "very good" by any stretch. You can pick up a slightly better pizza at dominoes for a dollar more with three toppings.

Bro, what’s to complain about? I can order just about whatever the frick I want at just about anytime of the day while laying on my couch and don’t even have to dial a number and talk to some stupid millennial.

We actally order Chick Fila to be delivered because there isn’t one in Orleans Parish so we get Postmates to pick up in Metairie and deliver to us.

I don’t complain

Nevermind the fact that it takes an hour to get to you and by that time, it's cold and not very good.

It takes 15 max for the driver to drive from Metairie to my house. They don’t prepare the order until the driver shows up.

We’ve never had cold CFL and it’s always good
