Why does cutting your sandwich diagonally make it so much more delicious?

I used to be lazy and not take this final crucial step, but cutting a sandwich diagonally increases its deliciousness by at least 50%

Cutting it down the middle arguably makes it worse

It improves the crust to soft bread ratio in most bites

I always thought Subway was better with the V cut.

Diagonal for meat/cheese.
Middle for pb&j.

Certain sandwiches require different cuts.

For instance, a BLT gets a middle cut.

PBJ, none at all

It's true.

I've never eaten more than two sandwiches at a time, it's usually just one. But bring me a Chops tray (diagonally sliced) and I can easily mow down the equivalent of four or five sandwiches.

Why does a sandwich taste so much better when your wife makes it for you?

Cutting your sandwich is for soys. Reminds me of the pajama guy that holds his coffee mug with both hands
