Why does bacon packaging suck and not have a way to open it?

Its 2016, is hacking your way into this with a kitchen knife or scissors the best UI we can come up with?
You can't fricking score the plastic or provide a pull-apart tab on the corner???
Why do I have to spend $12 on Wright's bacon to get an easy-pull tab?

The thicker, more expensive bacon is worth it.

Where is baconosmeatcandy when you need hin

Cause it is bacon and everyone is going to eat the whole pack anyway so why make it resealable

Idk about that, but I will tell you, don't ever ever eat bacon past it's expiration date, even if frozen.

I thought that's exactly what many brands do have.

i dont blow through a whole package of tyson at one time and i have to put that dripping hacked up plastic shite back in the fridge to get all over everything or waste a ziploc.
fricking sucks.

Wright's Bacon is worth every fricking penny.
Far better product and far better packaging.

which one?
i buy kroger, tyson & oscar meyer at upwards of $6-$7 and none of them have it.
why can't they put a pull-apart corner on it?

while I agree that many bacon packages are annoying as hell I don't understand why can't you just use the same gallon ziplock bag each time you get a new thing of bacon?
its not all that hard to rinse it off w/hot water and let it dry before you open up a new pack.

Don't remember because I haven't bought bacon in quite a while, but it seems like the center-cut bacon brand I used to get had the pull-apart corner.

I've done that for 15 years and never got sick once.
also, Hormel packages are usually pretty easy to open by pulling from the corner tabs.
