It’s full of liberals. Liberals are miserable people.

Was just in Austin for work and noticed no one is friendly.

I live in the far suburbs, by far, I mean 40 minute drive to downtown with NO traffic. When you drive through our 'hood, you wave at the joggers, dog and kiddie walkers, and everyone waves back, only exceptions are the newbies, and they learn soon enough and lean into it.

Every now and again, if there is a traffic problem, I get routed through a series of upscale 'hoods within the Austin city limits. Very liberal, lots of Kamala and "This house believes" signs. Not a single walker will wave back, and either studiously ignores you or outright looks away.

Liberals are either miserable, or they are looking for a new cause to make them miserable, 24/7.

That's pretty much every big city in the country for you. City folks, mostly liberal, are not as friendly to strangers as country folks, mostly conservative.

irrelevant, the algorithm made the decision.

The algorithm feeds you what it knows you like. It knows what types of trashy you’ll engage with.

I saw those videos awhile back and thought it was fake at first because of the amount of fights that were in the same general area. As long as no one is pulling guns, let them fight.

Austin’s downtown really went downhill pre Covid, then Covid really sped it up. Once the former Mayor allowed homeless people to camp wherever they wanted and made it publicly known that police can’t touch them, they became overly aggressive.

Every downtown has homeless, but the ones in Austin are extremely aggressive without repercussions.

Close, but the next two lines were:

Demographic changed. My friend lives in Austin so I visit him fairly often. They were always fights on Sixth Street but it was never like a major thing or something you'll see every weekend. People came moreso to have a good time and get laid versus anything else.

When Blacks and Hispanics started to flood the street in recent years is when the fights got more frequent and dangerous. Also they brought shootings to Sixth Street. They come to Sixth Street LOOKING for violence and to go viral in a fight unlike the white college kids and other white people who use to fight before the ghettorization of Sixth Street.
