Happened to me, caught me off guard cus I hadn't heard from him in a while. I stumbled for words because I really wanted to tell him to frick off. I told him I was busy at the moment, he kept poking wanting to set up a meet.

At no point in this country's history has the population of people age 65 and older been greater. Being able to sell those people Medicare Supplement insurance, Extended Care insurance and conducting retirement reviews is a lucrative business. I can see why it attracts certain people.

My bro works for EJ makes close to $200K a year and gets to go on all expense paid trips two times a year and goes fishing nearly anytime he wants while I have to be at work M-F working for somebody else. I constantly consider quitting what I do. Sure the first 3-5 years sucked, he was also getting started in 2008.

ETA: forgot to mention he has a general studies degree.

Very good friend of mine has been in the business for over 20 years. He makes a million per year just in the investments he manages. That may be why.

There serious money in wealth management. EJ and other low level shops, not so much.
