You are not using facts or data to back up your claims.

Do you realize how many people that live in nola don’t actually work in nola and own and run companies elsewhere?

If you print money, you in fact, cannot. And you wouldn't own shite, you'd work for the government.

Their fees are pretty much the highest out there. That's common knowledge.

EJ is for sure one of the highest, but Northwestern Mutual investment products are a strong contender for the highest fund fees.

Had a younger fraternity brother that interned with them. I wasn't wise to what it was. Knew I didn't need what they were selling but thought it'd be nice of me to agree to meet with him and his boss for his job performance sake.

10 minutes in I'm telling my young fraternity brother and his boss my annual salary.

Haven't talked to fraternity brother since.

Vanguard has their Advisor Alpha study that says the value of an advisor is 150-300 basis points.

I know the demographic of this board is different, but in the real world, there are plenty of people that want to go into an office and talk to their advisor about their $300k. Many firms won't even take that appointment, and that person will never entertain Vanguard or Schwab.

Meanwhile, places like EJ make their hay with that client.

The only reason you should have a managed account is if you are an active trader. Like multiple trades per month. You are better off buying the growth fund of America at full commission or the SPY/QQQ at Schwab, etrade, TD, etc.

Can't I buy A share American Funds at EJ too?

I doubt it since their platform is highly restrictive and the reps drink the EJ koolaide and wouldn’t dare offering one of their clients the most basic investment bedrock a US citizen can own, AGTHX

EJ is the most restrictive platform in the country
