My friend ran a proposal for me a few months ago. I'm in a similar field so I was curious. He came in at 1.2% all in, management and next expense ratios on the holdings. That seems pretty damn fair for someone who needs their services.
However, point me in the direction of a full service retail firm for mom and pop that is better/cheaper.

The only reason you should have a managed account is if you are an active trader. Like multiple trades per month. You are better off buying the growth fund of America at full commission or the SPY/QQQ at Schwab, etrade, TD, etc.
I would also avoid Fidelity due to their awful back office support.
