Why do we call it sunrise and sunset?

The sun neither rises nor sets. It’s just stuck there in the same spot all the time.
Pro tip: the Earf is spinning around and it is that motion that causes the sun to be there for awhile and then not be there for awhile.
Maybe sunreveal and sunconceal would be better terms.
What other names would you all think appropriate for these daily events?

because, in the morning you rise when you see the sun , in the evening you set when the sun disappears.

Why do we take the words of goat herders who believed in magic as gospel?
It's best not to question things and just live how the society you live in wants you to.
"They use force to make you do what the deciders have decided you must do"

It's 2018. Sunreveal and Sunconceal are too complicated.
It's a digital world, so sunon and sunoff.

Because modern astronomers didn't create the words.

What? Spinning where? It’s flat and the sun rises and sets. You need to lay off the acid, bro!
It’s actually evolved to properly be referred to as sunlight or sun sight and sunclipse. Very similar to the way people used to refer to noon meal as dinner and evening meal as supper. As we all know now, there is no supper, only lunch and dinner (particularly because dinner is a larger meal and most have larger meals in the evening than around noon).
