I enjoy using our tub.
Take baths with the wife upon occasion, too.
PS: Get some candles for the bathroom.

Gimmie a super hot bath, a Lush bathbomb, and about 30 minutes to shut my brain off for awhile.

That was true for me too til last week. I had a big arse tub in my suite at golden nugget that me and the stripper used

Does anyone here even use a tub? Or is this some HGTV shite where your woman watches House Hunters and insists on having a bubble jet tub because they say it's so luxurious and you end up using it once a year for uncomfortable tub sex?
Don't really care about the jets, but I like the larger tub where I can sort of recline and relax.

If my bathroom had a decent tub I would do this more often.
My bathroom just has a small shower. Husband's bathroom has a tub...but it is small.

Used mine every day until I sold my house in Septemeber. Sitting in the big garden tub watching tv and relaxing was awesome, looking for a new home now and a big garden tub is a must. Don't care about jacuzzi jets just a big tub to relax in.

complete waste of water
How does water waste? It goes back into the cycle. In Louisiana it’s practically a limitless resource. Me rationing water in LA, does not help El Paso droughts.
And to the issue of using up all the hot water... I have 2 tankless water heaters, which provide constant and limitless hot water.
We have a free standing cast-iron/porcelain tub, and a walk-in 3 head (standard, rainfall, hand held) shower in the master. And a standard tub/shower upstairs.

Now that I have a 3 headed, open, walk-through shower that could fit 10 people, I never use the beautiful soaking tub. It is for looks. But it does look really nice.

Sex in the “jacuzzi tub” is one of those things that sounds awesome, but it’s not. “Hey, how bout we go in the bed, but first, I’ll need to wake up my left foot”
The deed itself might be best left to a master contortionist but a bubble bath for two is one of life's simple pleasures. And as another poster mentioned I couldn't care less about the jets.

Womenz love bubbles and candles. Older people also prefer baths, sometimes out of necessity. For young children/newborns, it’s easier to bathe them in a tub. When I’m sick/have a cold, love putting epsom salt in a tub and taking a bath.
We are seeing more master baths without tubs, but it does potentially rule out a % of Buyers for reasons above. I would always recommend having at least one tub in house if you opt out of master

Most renovations are removing the jetted tub and installing a basic claw tub

They do not actually increase the value of the home.
They MIGHT help for a quicker sale, but they do not increase the value.

Downside of the big arse tub is it empties the water heater.
Tankless water heater for the win. My plumber even plumbed the tub with 3/4" water lines because of the tub's size. Didn't get the jets. You can order most tubs with or without them. Ours is a soaker.
Gets used about twice a year.
eta: I misspoke. The wife shaves her legs and occasionally washes her hair in it. It does have a long hand sprayer.

You’re limiting the potential buyers. Families with young children and older folks it’s a must have.

I would imagine those with small children would disagree with this. You gonna stand in the shower with your 3 year old to bathe them?
You do that with your second child, not your first, like that commercial.

Bought a house with a huge tub (like 5' by 5') in one bathroom. Was going to have it ripped out. Tried it once, and fell in love with it. Total relaxation. Used it every day.
Was single at the time. Also, found it to be a great icebreaker with dates. Thanks for reminding me (sigh). Those WERE the days.
