I grew up in Texas. I drive in the right lane any time possible. I drive relatively fast. I use my turn signals and don’t take unnecessary chances but I will pass you quick
I also dig the cruise control. 85 is a nice round number

Never driven in Georgia, have you? 
It drives me up a wall. I am teaching my daughter to drive in the right lane if it's a 4-lane(2 lanes each way) divided or in the middle lanes on an expressway/interstate and to only use the left lane for passing.

They shite their pants when passing big trucks and crossing bridges as well. The phenomenon is terrible in Alabama and Mississippi.

Ok. I’m all good with that and will add that Texans are good drivers but super aggressive. And once you get west of junction they all get relaxed. Never been cut off and passed to the right so well as by NY or Texas drivers. But dang if we need to save 5minutes! Wtf.

Control thing. They get a kick out of slowing excessive speeders down to a speed they deem acceptable. They also get excited about passing a right lane car going 75 mph while they themselves go 75.2 mph. It may take them 5 miles to pass them and another 4 miles to have enough car length to move over. But that’s their kink.

While I agree with you I also know that there is a percentage of just super low iq people/drivers that have no idea where they are supposed to drive.

Yea…and they’re an 1/8 of mile behind the person they’re following when they see you come up on them…they hop in the left lane to pass.
I’m sure they cuss me, because if they leave me an inch more than I need I’m fricking around them on the right at speed…whip back into the left lane and I’m on my way…hope they shite themselves. I’m pretty good at classical mechanics…

Here's a variant I love: you are in the left lane and there is nobody behind you for a long way. Slightly ahead of you, in the right lane, is another car driving behind, say, an 18 wheeler. At the last possible second, the other car gets over to the left lane and proceeds to VERY SLOWLY "pass" the 18-wheeler...and then takes forever to (or just doesn't ever) get back in the right lane.
I just don't understand it. An easy, cursory look would have revealed nobody was behind you and they could have just waited for you to go by first. But aren't they are in a hurry?!?! Guess not, as they barely even moved after that.

Same. Actually lately 7/10 time, if traffic isn’t bad they’ll get over after a pass like that…like they didn’t realize they were lane hogging until I whipped around them.

Why does Louisiana not build more than 3 lanes on the busiest interstate in the US?
Also most of the “Texas drivers” that people are shitting on are actually Louisiana transplants visiting from Texas. Outside the cities when you’re in Texas people drive courteous to say the least. Hell we’re talking about people who slow down in the shoulder to allow people to pass. This is common practice in east Texas. Can’t speak for everywhere
