Why do Texans and New Yorkers drive in left lane???

60 yrs of driving and every state I have lived in has a rule that says “stay right except to pass”. Yet those with Texas and NY license plates seem to be ignorant of this law. Wassup with dat?
Get over when someone is behind you unless you are at least doing the speed limit and traffic is moderate to heavy and you can’t really get and stay in right lane. Stop being ignorant and a road hog!

Florida is the same. Really everywhere in the south…worst drivers just park themselves in the passing lane with no care.

The problem is if I'm already in the left lane going 78mph on the interstate, some dickhead comes up behind me wanting to go 95mph and is on my arse the entire time. Just makes me set my cruise and chill. frick that asshat.

Well yea but they are pretty infrequent and usually in cities where there is too much congestion to demand anyone get over. I’m talking about open highways with miles between e it’s and nobody in right lane and some idiot who doesn’t know the law and rules thinks he/she owns the left lane. We all have been there.
