We've talked about if/when on a 2nd child and have 0 clue when going to get married. It would change nothing between us except a piece of paper. We are equally terrible at this parenting thing either way. When she got preg we both thought it was much worse to appease people that didn't matter and do a shotgun wedding. The people that matter were excited either way.Hell most people think we are married anyway.

I miss the old days where when your teenage daughter got knocked up you shipped her away to have the baby and put it up for adoption before she could come back

I generally don't run into/associate with people who have children out of wedlock, so I don't know how I would respond.

i didn't take it to mean getting pregnant while in a committed realtionship of many years if there is intent to marry.

This is the only part I have a problem with. Why do they have to be married. It's just a legal document. A piece of paper.

They planned on having kids and will never get married. They don't believe in it and I agree with them. You then insinuated we were all trash.....

Neck (who has a room in our house for when he's in town) asked us Sunday if we were married.

the decision to have children is a lifelong commitment and being that i strongly believe that children should be raised in a traditional two parent household, you should make a lifetime commitment to the person you intend to raise your children with.

because a child is a gift, life is a miracle, and pregnancy is tough so it's always an accomplishment when they make it through it

That's why there are so many bastards now, cause there seems to be no more shame in it.

Kids are awesome. Have no problem with people trying to put a positive spin on the situation. Maybe everything works out, maybe it doesn't, but if you're going to have the kid - might as well celebrate it.

Makes about as much sense as youre making in here.

If we're just going to throw random shite out on here, did you join the military because you were a frickup? Plenty of people do. Generally speaking, of course
