Because truck drivers are like everyone else on the road. Most drive like professionals and a few are nimrods. If megas like Swift and Werner wouldn’t hire the dregs of society to drive and actually cared about their drivers with reasonable pay and home times, we’d see a lot less trucker buffoonery out there.

Because most company trucks are governed between 65-70 mph.
When I see someone trying to pass me that's going just a 1 or so mph faster, I let off the throttle. Courtesy and professionalism.

Many are governed at a given speed for safety and fuel consumption reasons.
If one is governed slightly higher than the other is cruising, you get a real slow pass.
Best thing you can do about is leave 5 minutes earlier and don’t let those little things in life bother you.
There will be bigger things coming along soon enough to worry about. Trust me.

This is the biggest contributor to shitty traffic on the I-12 corridor. Adding another lane isn’t going to help if they don’t start cracking down on truck traffic, like keeping them out of the left lane and stopping shite like the OP.
