The best lunch in my hometown is at a local convenience store/ fuel station. Has a full commercial kitchen and one lady pumps out homemade biscuits starting at 6:00am. They probably sell 150 of them before 8:00am. Then they do a flip to lunch at 11:00. She has a helper cook come in and they put out the most delicious soul food meat and 2 or 3 anywhere to be found within 50 miles.
And Krispy Krunchy chicken is the best fried chicken I have ever had.
I also know not to buy the hot dog that looks like it has been sitting on a roller for 9 hours. Some stores specialize in good grab n go options, and some just have the one roller machine that is tucked between the coffee pot and the fountain drink station. I’m not buying one of the 3 hot dogs that look as if they have been there for a long time waiting for the local meth head to consume.
Hunts pizza is pretty good when it is very fresh out of the oven. I won’t buy it unless it is just out of the oven.

In Dallas the best tacos come from Fuel City just south of downtown. Where we live the best bbq is at the Shell Station on 287.

I am in convenience stores every single day. I call horse shite on 15 minute waits. Just sayin… the op may have waited 2 minutes and got pissed because, well, who the frick knows. It’s a goddamn convenience store.

It’s usually the poors and/or fatties that shop at gas stations.
You will only see me inside if I’m on a road trip. If I’m thirsty, I will buy a Gatorade with a large enough opening for me to piss in while I’m driving. The only other time will be if I need to go in to take a shite.
