Why do people love lawyer shows, but hate real life lawyers?????

In general, people hate other people's lawyers and love their own.
As for TV I think people like the fact it is one of the few gladiator sports left (outside of real fighting) in general two go in and one comes out a winner and one a loser.
Cops, doctors and lawyers have dominated drama TV for as long as I can remember.

People don't hate lawyers. They hate personal injury lawyers. There's a big difference.

There are, literally, thousands of attorneys in the state of Louisiana. How many different attorneys have you seen in a commercial in the last few years? A dozen?

People SAY that they hate lawyers but they don't hate lawyers. Don't they vote for lawyers all the time to rule over them? Look at the LA Governor race, a personal injury lawyer vs a business man. You'd think that the businessman would have an easy win, right? Nuh uh. The personal injury lawyer probably beats the businessman.

I have a distant relative who owns a company and is a major donor to Texans Against Lawsuit Abuse. I'm talking tens of thousands of dollars. He's also well known for litigating at the drop of a hat when things go sideways in his own business dealings.

It is human nature, lots of people think a big percentage of lawsuits are frivolous but they never ever think a suit they have fits that mold.
