Why do hotels still have alarm clocks?

Nothing good can come. Worst case some boomer sets it and it goes off for the next guy in the room at 5:00am.

Always hated when I forgot to check them when I got to my room and someone set it to go off in the middle of the night.

For the same people that can’t or won’t get voter id. Assume they can’t get phones either.

The first thing I do when I get to the room is unplug that shite

That's a pretty minor thing to worry about.

Great question.
Ive spent over 2 yrs worth of nights in Marriott hotels in my life (#humblebrag), and after having an alarm go off at some ungodly hour more than once, now the third thing i do when i check in is yank the damn plug from the alarm clock out of the wall.. the first thing i do is pull that nasty arse bed cover thing off and onto the floor.. and the second thing is lower the A/C to freezing ….. i think the same lunatics bragging about waking up at 4:30am in the other thread must be staying in these rooms before i get there.

Nothing worse than hearing an alarm going off at 5am in the vacant room next door

Because my flip phone doesn’t have an alarm

My 84 year old grandfather still likes to travel and doesn’t have a smart phone

Never used a hotel alarm clock, but I don't like the rooms that have no clocks. Still like to look over at the time if I wake up during the night.

I’d hope my days of alarms would be long gone if I lived to be 84.

So the light can shine in my face at night.

Couldn’t disagree more… i actually changed the time on my Nest A/C thermostat thing in my home, to some random time, so that when i get up at night to adjust it, it doesnt show me the time and then i have the pressure of knowing i only have 2 or 3 more hours to sleep.. id rather be blissfully ignorant of the time when i wake up in the middle of the night .

My father in law is one of those types. I think he does it because the mother in law is always running his shite but is a late riser.
So he gets like six hours of peace in the morning till she wakes up
