Also immediate pass if you’re listed as atheist or liberal. I’m surely not lowering my standards that fricking much, but I certainly appreciate the honesty.

I don't mind someone who is an atheist, or reasonably liberal, but declaring that on your profile is just a huge red flag. I just know that they're going to be a bitch.

Hinge is garbage here, for the most part. Bumble is solid for good women. Tinder, as always, is about finding diamonds in the rough.

An ex of mine (who I am still on very good terms with) is extremely liberal, and will probably end up on a federal bench one day. We had some severe disagreements over a lot of things, but she was very reasonable and rational, so I could take it. It's the REEEEEEEEEligious libtards that I can't handle.

Tried to help you out but no luck.

Can you tell me specifically why I was banned?

We do not tell people why they were banned. This policy is in place to protect the identities of those who reported the account. We will not respond to inquiries about the reason for a ban.

I guess in modern times, with everything being so political, this could be a major sticking point for some.

I sincerely don't recall my wife and I ever discussing politics when we were dating. I think we had a pretty good idea that we were fairly similar values wise. She's a Southern Baptist gump and I'm a country boy from Central.

I mean, she didn't freak out when she came over to my apartment and there was a loaded Colt 45 on the nightstand

This explains a lot.

Every so often, I get DMs from random dudes that I have lots of mutual friends with. Happened yesterday, actually. At least on a dating app, you are putting out the message that you're single and want to be messaged.

On social media, it is awkward to jump to "I have a boyfriend" when the person hasn't really been overly forward yet. But I don't know any other way to handle it. If you let the conversation go too long before you say it, you're in the wrong too.

The vast majority of women who mention anything political on their profile are far leftists. I want to tell them that the 6'3 rich athletic guy who also loves to travel, eat sushi, and drink red wine and who is a hardcore feminist, supports BLM, and hates Trump doesn't exist in Baton Rouge or probably anywhere. They never match with me though.

I have it horribly, I’m non-religious and conservative. Very rare for someone to be both. Since I’ve been in the South, not being Christian has doomed me.

I have an inherited portrait of "Lee and his Generals" in my office. I know pretty quickly whether or not someone is viable if they make a comment on that.

That's where I was most successful.

A few things I found that worked...

1) I never just commented on a girls looks; I figured most guys sent a message about how they were hot; and I wanted to keep their egos in check...If I was gushing about how hot a girl is, she's going to think she's out of my league

2) I made a very specific comment related to something I saw or read on their profile that required an answer ("What ski resort is that? I was just in Park City...")

3) I avoided the standard boring questions as much as possible...so the women would not get bored with the convo
