Never hear much out of them anymore.

Job got less stressful after UPS, FedEx and email

Wage increases. Funny how that happens.

That game Postal was pretty awesome.

So we pay the students? There, school shootings are fixed.

Rural mail drivers make close to $20 an hour. For a mindless job, it isn't a bad gig.

Unfortunately it is most likely cyclical in nature.

They also get less expensive gov’t health insurance.
They aren’t really held accountable for anything anymore. I think that carrier that dumped a whole bin of Goodwood’s mail in a dumpster still has a job.

USPS does a good job these days with package delivery. If they lose your package you are screwed, but the day to day operations are pretty solid.
UPS and FedEx have gone downhill, IMO. Never would have predicted USPS would adapt to the huge ramp up in e-commerce and delivery better than the private guys, but they have

There is no more stress in the job because they sit around and don't do shite all day and receive max government benefits.

I would bet they make much more than that. part time postal workers start out at close to 18 a hour.

MK Ultra decided to change things up

Too lazy to shoot the place up

can't recall the last time i went to the post office until last week, was quickly reminded why i avoid the experience, the line was 10 deep, workers in no hurry, just horrible customer service, it seemed they were all medicated...

I think a lot of this is perspective.
USPS was really bad before, so improvements stick out a lot. And vice versa for the private guys.
I still prefer FedEx at my place because of better tracking, better lost package customer service, and usually faster.
But I will admit they've lost packages and been delayed more in the past year than ever before. Amazon is really squeezing the entire parcel system.

Only a matter of time until they branch off. They already do here in Dallas. They have white vans to delivery all their stuff. Haven’t had a UPS or Fed Ex delivery from amazon in years.

I am sure they get something. Although in my area I haven't seen anyone driving their personal vehicle in years. They all use the little mail trucks.

Here they ship UPS and FedEx to the local post office and the USPS delivers it to the house on some of the packages.
