Amazon is starting their own delivery service in LA to move goods from third party to buyer without ever going through am Amazon warehouse.
UPS and FedEx stocks took a hit just on them announcing.
USPS has the advantage of being bailed out by the federal government. Amazon is basically using federal dollars to subsidize cheaper shipping. So cheap USPS loses money on each package.

Agreed. When your product is absolute horse shite and you upgrade to just being crappy.....it is like an exponential improvement.
Never have I ever had a package track correctly with the USPS. It shows up, and then the entire tracking/delivery process shows up on the website.
USPS is like everything the government gets their hands on. Politicized and used as a slush fund for the money handlers of the govt. Yet another Cluster F*{k

We have that in Nashville. They’ll deliver in their personal vehicles sometimes. Talked to a driver and they said it’s like Uber for Amazon delivery drivers. They turn on their app and they are told where to pick up and deliver packages.

You would have to care about something in order to go postal. They don't care about anything. There is absolutely no pressure whatsoever. Everything is at an easy pace.

USPS finally embraced more technology and automation at the main post offices . The old setups were almost like torture chambers.

The postal workers that I deal with are very slow and are in no hurry whatsoever. The mail delivery worker who files my street is constantly giving me other peoples mail and other people my mail. Seemed like service was better 30 years ago.

Made $18.51/hr as a rural carrier associate(sub/Saturday carrier) ~10yrs ago. Not a bad gig - lots of autonomy, can leave once the mail's delivered and get paid for the whole day. Zero shootings in my 18 month experience.
