Alumna. Plural is alumnae.

I can stand when folks use media and data as singular. It's "The media ARE biased, not the media IS biased." Media is plural for medium, and data is plural for datum.

Most times content gets disregarded over the misspelling of a word or two.
I have a strained e-relationship with many here so it's everyday occurrence with me.

Which is a holdover from Latin, an anomaly in the process of making words plural in English, and a dumbass rule.

One writer once remarked that the sole purpose of the semicolon was to prove you went to college. This strikes me as the same.

I don't give a big rat's arse how someone spells words or how perfectly correct the syntax might be. Is the idea conveyed? That is all that matters.

Good one! I just saw an example of this yesterday on the Money Board.

ETA: Another one I just saw on the Poli Board: know/no.

Also, due/do.

I hate when dumbasses put a "the" in the wrong place in a sentence.

A lot of posters here don't realize that the word "biased" exists. I have seen, on numerous occasions, people post something along the lines of "I know I'm bias," or "I don't mean to sound bias."

That's the problem, Judge; most of these fricking retards and IM posters write entirely illegible crap.

Between the abbreviations, acronyms, and downright piss poor grasp of the language; the average poster here conveys his or her message at a ninth grade level. And that has nothing to do with number of syllables they use in each word.
