President Roosevelt’s executive order in 1942 that ended up rounding up and forcing more than 100,000 Japanese Americans into prisons during World War II is arguably the most racist executive order in modern American history.

Norwegians are eligible for the Diversity Lottery. In fact, citizens from Nigeria, Haiti, and El Salvador are not eligible for the DV lottery since many are in this country via the Temporary Protected Status program.
The Diversity in Diversity Lottery has nothing to do with bringing in minorities or brown people. It has to do with diversifying the nation of origin of immigrants from the usual countries. Countries with many immigrants that go through the conventional routes (i.e. Indians, Chinese, and Mexicans) are not eligible for the DV lottery. The only person I know to have come from this program is a Serbian.

What's funny is everyone is upset at Trump, but this quote comes from someone briefed on the meeting by someone else.
I'd have to a assume it went like this:
Trump: we need immigration reform. We need to accept the best and brightest but we can't let criminals and homeless people from third world counties just set up shop in America. We can't just have open borders for every person from every shitty country to come here.
Telephone pass the message game from guy at meeting to whoever was briefed.
Telephone game pass the message from the guy who was briefed to his journalist contact.
Telephone game from the journalist contact to the article writers.
End result: Trump calls Africa a shite hole.
