Why are the Poli Board Posters so Crazy?

Every time I decide to venture off to that end of TD I always encounter some bat shite insanity from the posters. How do these people exist?

They may be crazy as shite but they're a smart and crazy college professor kind of smart and they drown out the knuckle draggers. I drown them out sometimes too.
Election year is obviously dragging it down but in calmer years, it's one of the most intelligent boards on TD.
