I drive all over Texas for work. They are the worst drivers I've ever been around even worst than Lafayette drivers.
I hate driving through Dallas and Houston, every time I go through I almost get in a wreck.

I moved from BR to the Spring/Woodlands area 30 years ago. Basically, Texas drivers just drive more aggressively. You just learn to adapt and always be prepared for someone to do something stupid.
Also, avoid the left 2 lanes and just take your time.

Urbanite Texans aren’t used to roads that shitty. Those of us that are used to lease roads, which is about as close as you can get to a Louisiana highway, are more accustomed to going faster.

When I drive from to BR to Birmingham or back, if someone is riding my arse in the left lane while I'm passing, I always tell my wife there's a 75% chance that's going to be a Texas plate, and I'm usually right

There is an insane number of Texas plates in BR every day and I do not believe they are all passing through
I have a theory that there is a massive plate counterfeit/forging scheme because I do not believe there are actually that many Texas drivers that want to go through airline or mid City on a Friday. Also, there are so many temp tags when the used car market is high. I don't believe that many people are buying

My theory is that it's actually not bad drivers from Houston or Dallas. It's bad drivers from Beaumont or Longview who are too scared to drive in Houston or Dallas, but still need to come to Louisiana for gambling or medical things.

Here in Sugar Land, we must have people from 10,000 countries trying to drive... so annoying to have a foreign woman with a $100K Mercedes on Highway 6 driving 20 while the rest of us are trying to go 50...
They also don't know what a turn signal is used for and when they do use it, they leave it on for 7 miles.

I believe the big-city Texans don't understand passing lane (not fast lane) vs. cruising lane because it's ALWAYS peak traffic in Houston, Dallas and places like that.
They get here and other smaller areas and can't adjust.

This idiot drove like 10 mph on Prien, hit his brakes several times, then stopped and turned left out of the left lane, completely ignoring the fact that there is a turning lane. I honked at him, he honked back like I was the idiot. I honked again and hollered at him to go back to Texas.
