Not so sure they're bad drivers, but they do all seem to give ZERO frickS when it comes to the posted speed limits in LA, as I can almost bet my life that if a car flies past me on I-10 when I'm doing 75-80 that motherfricker is gonna have Texas plates.

I'd have to say because it's so many people that move here from elsewhere that didn't know how to drive from wherever they came from.

Spend any amount of time anywhere and those people will be the worst drivers you've ever seen.
Except Dallas drivers. So many fricking idiots everywhere. It's like that family guy bit about the Asian lady crossing 4 lanes of traffic and saying "good luck everybody else"

I20 is even better. It's spaced out so you can see the white trooper tahoes like 1 mile in advance. That's an 85 mph road

t's not unique to just Texas. Everybody thinks everybody else sucks at driving, regardless of where you are.
I've noticed this as well. Each region or state has it's own driving culture. There are unwritten rules that differ in other parts of the country.
For example, in Massachusetts you do not use turn signals, and just but in when changing lanes. Here that would be considered getting cut off, but it is the way you have to drive there.

So the question is, who are the people that are actually good at driving? Tough call.
Germany.

They have some nice roads, but every single one of them drives around in the left lane.

because they are in a hurry to get to one of our casinos

You know what is so crazy?
I drive Laf to BR every day and every single day there are around 5 or 6 Texas drivers holding up the left lane and refuse to move over, even when they can.
So I drove Lafayette to Austin, then Austin through Amarillo to South Colorado and not 1 single Texas driver was blocking the left lane in Texas. I was like WTF????
I swear they only do it in LA.

Mexican women are by far the worst driving demographic. Either extremely slow or riding someone's arse to push them out of the way in their Corolla.

Yep. No congestion around Houston. Smooth sailing there.
For the record, I've never driven through Houston. I usually head to the Woodlands so I pretty much bypass Houston proper.

It's a pretty good bet.

I drove to TX this past weekend. You frickers are crazy, and everyone that knows me thinks I'm a crazy driver. In fact, I was in a rental because I wrecked my car. I crossed the State line and was on the verge of a panic attack by the time I got to Baytown. Why do yall even have speed limits? I was going 15 over and it was like I was barely moving. Buc-ee's is cool as frick though.
And why do you all insist on driving in the left lane?

You haven't see bad drivers until you go up North. The worst drivers I've ever seen were on I-95 in New Jersey and around Boston. Turn signals don't exist up there.

The pulling onto the shoulder while still doing 70 to let me pass on rural roads blew my mind when I first moved here. Thought everyone was crazy till I realized the shoulders in Texas are in better shape than the lanes in LA.

I've driven enough in Texas, Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana to form a reasonable opinion about that state's drivers.
Louisiana has consistently poor drivers. They lack the basic knowledge to even merge onto an Interstate. They are far less courteous, even to the point that it slows their own progress. This lack of ability extends to their law enforcement, whom I've seen make basic errors in driving. No wonder Louisiana"s police are involved in so many accidents.

We play the opposite game here, if there's someone driving slow as frick in Houston and not going with traffic there's about a 75% chance there's Louisiana plates on it

I was somewhat surprised by the pulling off onto the shoulder tactic myself. I've driven in lots of places but TX is the only place I've seen this maneuver.
I kinda like it other than the guys towing trailers who pull over and start slinging gravel and god knows what else onto my vehicle.
