Disney is so fricking overrated. Give me a beach with white sand and blue water for a week
To each his own. The beach is boring as frick to me. If I want to sit around, relax, and do nothing, my couch is free.

I like Universal's City Walk.

If you let me pick 10 people, give me unlimited beer, margaritas, chips, and guacamole, I could live on the beach. My favorite vacations ever have all involved quality time with food, alcohol, and friends on the beach. And I'm not talking Spring Break bullshite.

I like universal much more than Disney now. So do my teens. The boardwalk at universal is a good time for live music and a few drinks. Got some hot ladies come night time also. Boat leave the jet at home for this one.

Oh so you have sand in your living room and a crystal clear ocean or gulf outside your door? That's pretty neat. Not everyone vacations the same. I like to be able to relax without hearing a city alive around me.

Because it is my favorite place on earth to go with my family.

I love going on beach vacations. But I couldn't tell you the last time I actually stepped on the beach. Give me a balcony, a view, and some booze, HYFR.

Is it a form of mental retardation or am I missing something?
Idk, but my ex-sil, who is most definitely "mental" to say the least, is obsessed with it. She & her husband (ex, now) even went on their honeymoon, and she drug him back there no less than four times after that. I'm convinced it was a major contributing factor in their divorce - that & the fact that she's the size of Dumbo, a colossal self-absorbed delusional bitch, & totally nuts. There's just something really weird & unattractive, besides the previous less than desirable characteristics, about a 47 year-old woman completely consumed with Disney, in my opinion, & evidently that of her ex.

Missy I would have said pics of SIL but after your description NO THANKS. Now if this would have been a Sea world thread then yes.

The last 12 years I worked the team I ran always had a minimum of three Asian women (Chinese and Korean) on it (not by design, just always worked out that way), including my work partner of over 20 years. All of them, without exception, were/still are Disney fanatics. My partner who retired the same day I did and I still talk at least once a month. She still goes to Disneyland (Anaheim) two to three times a year plus one of the international Disney Worlds. I've asked her before why her and the other women on the team were so infatuated with Disneyland and Disney in general. She said it was because going to Disneyland kept them feeling young.

I'm with you, Casty, but I know better than to voice certain opinions on the OT.
You're better off posting racist stuff here than anti-Disney vacation stuff.

Friend of mine & his wife are going to Disney World in a couple weeks for their 10 year anniversary. I really don't understand why.
They've both been dozens of times before.

Can we all agree that no matter the destination....vacations kick arse. Whether you enjoy sitting at home not doing shite or going for some type of destination...any opportunity to be away from work is a fricking blessing.
Yep. A wise man once said, A bad day at home is better than a good day at work.
