re: Why are so many women defending Lindsay Clancy?

I have seen the saying that the they think the dad actually did it. That he drugged her, killed the kids, and convinced her that she did it. That she can't remember not actually doing it due to being drugged so she thinks she did it

Two things can be true for what it’s worth. You can acknowledge PTSD/PPD/mental health issues are real and sympathize with that while also believing that someone deserves to be in jail. It’s not a defense.
However - didn’t Chris Watts also claim his wife killed the girls and then it turned out it was him?

Based on literally no evidence at all, of course

I am not following the case at all. Based on who i see posting these things I assume they are getting most of the "evidence" from social media influencers that like to talk about unusual or outlandish crimes

Omg you even have a respected man on this board questioning it.

This has absolutely nothing to do with acknowledging mental health issues. This woman had a lot of help from doctors on speed dial to therapists to nannies to in-laws.
She literally had all the help any modern woman demands and there's still "OH women just need more help and society victimizes mothers!" being spouted as some sort of excuse for this.
Its absolutely mind-blowing how early arrivals from Europe to the Americas could have 5 kids and live a harsh physically demanding life until 80 without any of this yet a spoiled child born into wealth and coddled cant handle it DESPITE every convenience humanly possible.
There's something very mentally ill about modern women. They are truly deeply sick in the head. Prosperity is making their lives psychologically worse.
I promise you the overlap between abortion lovers and sympathy for Lindsay Clancy is very high.
This is the type of mentally deranged stuff being posted.
Some women will burn everything at the altar to themselves.

Seek help
She apparently did. Sought it for months. Therapists. Psychiatrists. In patient mental institutions. All they did was write her more scripts. Her youngest was only 8 months old, she was receiving treatment for at least the last 4 months of his life.

She went by exactly what reddit progressive feminist would tell her to do.
She treated herself in the exact perfect path that any secular progressive feminist would tell her.

Who fricking cares
There is no question. She did it. Her own defense admits it and doesn't even QUESTION whether she did or not
The questions go to mental competency and they are just as ludicrous considering she wasn't actually diagnosed with much of anything, and PLANNED the murders, part of the very definition of mental competency
This whole case proves one thing: women are nuts and many of them may actually want to murder their kids with no consequences

Two things can be true at once:
1. She is guilty and needs to be held accountable. Death penalty would be appropriate.
2. Post-partum issues need more attention and to be taken seriously.

My wife is obsessed with this trial...100% believe the husband did it

if that is the case, why is her defense PP psychosis?
Yep. If there was any evidence that the ex-husband did it, third-party guilt would be their defense. But that requires actual evidence.

Hire a divorce lawyer or sleep with one eye open because you might be next

As I said previously, I have no in depth knowledge of the case, but having access to money, doctors, childcare, or family support does not make someone immune to severe mental illness.
Those things can reduce stress and improve access to care, but they are not some magic pill that a person will remain psychologically well. How many privileged people commit murder or other crimes and turn out to have a mental illness? A LOT.
Short list of examples:
John du Pont
John Hinckley Jr.
Antony Baekeland
And comparing modern women to women living centuries ago is a strange benchmark.
Women in earlier eras suffered, became ill, died in childbirth, lost children, experienced psychiatric crises, but far fewer opportunities for those experiences to be documented or understood.
Again… you can believe someone should be held accountable for horrific actions without turning one tragedy into an indictment of “modern women,” abortion rights, or mothers generally.

But sending your husband out and then killing your toddlers smells of premeditation to me.
Haven't really kept up with the trial but was it really "hey husband go to the grocery store" or was it that he said he was going to the grocery store and she didn't stop him? That's a massive difference.

And it seems if she us that bad off, there were would have been other signs and maybe her husband or others would’ve noticed something amiss.
She was committed and on like 40 different prescriptions.

I'm convinced people who think shite like this don't actually interact with very many women in real life.
Most women are not shitposting political commentary on Twitter all day.

Like I said I dont know anything about this case but I do know lawyers

Also madam, since neither you or I have kept up with this case who is to say her lawyers have actually said she did it? Could just be these OT baddies filling our silly women brains with lies

Yes, you can feel sympathy for those that suffer from mental disorders including anxiety and depression
However, sympathy is not something that is static and can be lost. Some actions can be so grevious that all sympathy is lost, and I can't think of a more grevious one. There is no way I can sympathisize on any level with someone that has murdered their children. Depression, even severe depression does not meet the threshhold of generating enough sympathy to overcome digust, disgust replaces sympathy at that point, sympathy is a non-factor
if the disorder does not justify the act, how can you sympathize? You should only be able to sympathize with those individuals that act in reasonable accordance for a someone in that situation, murdering your children is not one of those situations. Which is why her only defense will be one that does not involve reason aka insanity
