Again, you are more than welcome to find where I said she shouldn't be punished or that she didn't kill her kids.

Then stop pointing the finger everywhere else

You keep posting that. Then you make a big response to some poster with a nice long “BUTTTT…” to fulfill your need to come off as understanding and empathetic toward her and her situation. We get it. You think she should be punished. But you won’t say how. What would be your sentence?

Again, I have to disagree here. I've seen far more discussion on post-partum treatment access than I have absolving her of what she did.
Where do you think the $1 million dollars they raised for her came from?

That didn’t come from just a small group of people.

That is more money than was raised for Karmelo Anthony.

It reminds me of the posters who say we never complain about white trash in threads about black people

Dude we all hate white trash

I also hate using “aw man she was depressed” as an excuse for killing three children

The people supporting this murderer have raised nearly $1 MILLION dollars for a person who has murdered her three children.

This isn’t a “weird outlier group”.

This is mass white female psychosis in support of a woman who murdered her three children.

That is insane.
Exactly. This psychosis continues her psychosis. It is as insane as those that fan girl for Luigi the murderer.

There is no way to brush this off with wine mom, mommy sleuths, imagining the husband did it.

The women giving money to her are insane. If they truly cared, donate to PPD causes or mental health facilities.

This is honestly the whole thing

Even the most serious women issuing serious condemnations have to hedge and caveat. I'm not sure if it's a knee-jerk accountability thing or an effort to soften going against the tribe, but every such version of this online is qualified, and it tracks what I see IRL. And to be clear, these are the reasonable people, not the crazies.

Generally speaking, do you believe that NGRI should be a possible verdict for a criminal case?

No.

I don’t.

If you are insane to the point that you commit a heinous crime, you should either be locked away forever with no possibility of ever getting out or you should get the death penalty.

No in between.

So you philosophically disagree with the entire premise. So it's difficult to have a discussion about this case if you disagree with the laws as enacted.

I agree that the way NGRI is set up in Massachusetts is too lenient.

In Ohio, NGRI is an affirmative defense meaning that the burden shifts to the defendant to prove they are NGRI by a preponderance of the evidence. And they can be held at the mental health institution for the maximum term for the offense, in this case forever.

In Massachusetts, once the defense presents any evidence of mental illness, the state must then prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was same at the time of the offense.

Yes, I philosophically disagree with the laws, but a discussion can be had regarding the mass white female psychosis that has presented itself around this case.

I agree with that as well. It's pretty sick actually.

They are glamorizing someone that did the most heinous act she could have.

That said, I believe she is likely to be found NGRI which alleves her of criminal culpability so it's different than the Luigi situation, which also has the psycho white women out in force.

I also agree she should be held in the psychiatric institution for the rest of her life.

Never diagnosed with psychosis. Never said she heard voices till her lawyer’s friend (their expert) handed her his phone (a huge ethics violation) to call her husband so she could tell him she heard a voice. Hasn’t heard a voice since. Never told a therapist she was thinking of killing anyone. No evidence of suicidal ideation. Searched how to treat a sociopath. She had her husband run errands so she was alone to do it. She was messaging him normal things.

I can’t understand how anyone thinks she wasn’t mentally competent.

The premeditated nature of it almost always goes against the insanity defense

She SHOULD be screwed with any normal jury

Psychologist Paul Zeizel (who evaluated her) testified that on February 6, 2023, while he allowed her to use his phone, she told her then-husband Patrick (on speaker) that she had heard a male voice ordering her that she had no choice but to kill the children and then kill herself. Patrick Clancy had earlier testified about the call in which she described a man’s voice saying something to the effect that if she didn’t do it then she would lose her chance. Zeizel and others noted she has not reported hearing voices again since the 2023 events.
