Why are so many people proud of their alcoholism?

posting pictures of the six beers they drink every night, or telling people how they drink their vodka waters or bourbon every night?

Do people actually do this? I get posting an occasional picture of a nice landscape with a bourbon or nice beer, or even taking a picture of a unique liquor you’re tasting, but I haven’t seen people brag about getting drunk since freshman/sophomore/ second sophomore year of college.
