I’m not afraid of the shot. I just don’t see it as remotely necessary for myself. It’s a risk/reward scenario. There may well be very little risk associated with getting the shot, but it is a bit of an unknown and the reward is almost non existent for somebody of my age and health. I don’t trust our government or media and I find the push for vaccinations a bit strange and off putting. I’ll take my chances given my age and health. I don’t look down on anyone that feels more comfortable getting it, though. I do look down on those that feel the need to let everyone know they got it or speak ill of those of us who don’t want it.

Since the anti vax stuff started I thought it was stupid but now I actually like that rhetoric they pushed. Problem is those same people aren't being shunned like those in red states. Since I'm military I'll have to get it eventually so I don't really care.

My life is exactly where it was before this started. Except I get to work from home, which is what I wanted anyway.
No mask, no vaccine, do what I want.

Why are you so concerned with what other people do who don’t seem to care what you do?

Not about being afraid. It's about being a government sheep.

It must suck to live in a world where fear of a disease with a 97%+ survivability rate rules your life to the point where you're willing to attempt to condescend to others for their not being as scared as you.
Hell of a strawman you built up there, m'dude.
Why is the mortality rate the only metric you are worried about?
What about the side effects of "long Covid" - neurological issues, cardio and lung issues that can affect one's quality of life?

Jesus. Stop fighting about this shite. Both sides have very valid arguments. If you want to get it, get it. If not, don't.

Wat? You can be against and work on two separate things simultaneously.

Its not that people are "afraid", but more or less not so willing to start injecting shite into their bodies just because Big Daddy Gov says to. Especially in todays time, who the frick trusts the government that much anyways?
Also, I haven't gotten the flu shot in probably 18 years despite what my doctor tells me every year, I also have not gotten the flu in over 18 years. Does that mean I'm a pussy for not getting the flu vax? Or am I just some big badass that is better than the flu every year? It doesn't mean either...
Don't do something just because someone told you to. Geez.

of course. but it's pretty amusing how the lard arse population is nearly at 50% and they still believe getting a covid shot is going to save their lives
can't preach about one thing while woofing down chic fil a 3x per week
that's why it's really hard to take these types of people seriously

This is about context.
The OP was casting aspersions about those of us not getting vaccines. I cast aspersions back at him in such a way to underscore how I found his stance to be ironic in the classic Greek definition of the word.

Damn, son
Not a single vaccine promises immunity. You can still get the disease. 75% of the country can get vaccinated, and people will still be catching this virus
lulz
Youre not smart enough to give anyone advice about this pandemic
