Why are so many beards these days just shitty

Beards are awesome. But I see so many on a daily basis that just look pathetic. Completely unkempt and wild. Makes whoever has it look gross and homeless.
I get some are generally trying to make a point that they’re anti-social or whatever but I also see plenty of “regular” men who just look like they’re asking for a bird to nest

It’s not just beards. People are unbelievably lazy. Making a point to take a minute before you leave the house to not look like a smelly dipshit has some how not only become frowned upon but actively suppressed. It’s bizarre. I just don’t understand the acceptance of minimal mediocrity as the maximum acceptable standard these days. Get off my lawn. Yell at clouds. Blah blah

declining testosterone over time means weaker jaws, so more guys feel the need to grow a beard, but their low t means they can't grow much of a beard

I'm 45, my T was 673 natual when I tested last month and I can't grow a beard at all. I get a little scruff, but that is it. There is more to it than T levels.
