Why are people poors?

I just put another six figure investment in my stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds.
My OT 10 wife just brought me a beer as I sit on our veranda. Just any other day for me.
Why do people choose to be poor?

Upbringing by people who cannot teach how to break the cycle. An education system that does not teach people how to break the cycle

Poor people are poor because they are bad with money.
If you give a poor person money, they will be poor again because they will just spend the money instead of making the money make money.

There are always exceptions to this rule...I should know because I was very poor at one point in my life. Now, God has blessed me with a very comfortable life to where I don't have to worry about living from paycheck to paycheck.
