Taxpayers pay for trillion dollar bail outs of corporations but I don't see nearly the same amount of hate towards that. There's a lot worse things your tax dollars are going to.

Higher education needs to be free for those who want it and qualify academically.

Like that has a snowball's chance in hell this day and age.
I'd be all for implementing a system like Germany has, where only the top students get selected for University, the next tier go to a technical college, and the last tier gets vocational training.
And that will never, ever happen in this country with the focus on diversity, social justice, and equity.

I hate both. Pay your fricking bills without the government swooping in to take care of you. I don't care if you're an individual or corporation. It's not my job to pay your fricking bills.

You would think that with all the money colleges are charging for an education they could teach basic economics .. Guess not.

What they should do is wipe out the interest for federal loans and/or allow people to pay it with pre-tax money.

I like how people want to pick and choose when they want to adult
On your 21st I bet you didnt wait a second to buy your first legal drink
On your 18th your first strip club
When you were 16 bet you didnt wait to get your license
How is it that only when adulting sucks that you want other people to bail you out?
That only in these circumstances were you not old enough to know what you were doing.

Maybe you should bet mad at the system that causes such astronomical debt and not the people trying to change it

Anyone who takes out large amount of debt for undergrad at this point should not be rewarded for being an idiot. Schools are literally paying people to attend them if you have a decent GPA and ACT/SAT score. Undergrad ultimately doesn't matter much in most fields.
I had to decide between paying out of state tuition to UF or going to Southeastern where between TOPS and scholarships I was pocketing $2500 a semester after housing and tuition and books were paid for. Sure a big SEC school may be more prestigious, but I knew I was going to law school and ultimately the undergrad was really just a prereq.

There is no way to determine an accurate answer to this.
Sure, look at real income levels versus inflation rates at the median level and at the quintiles
