Why are Dodge Ram pickup trucks looked down upon on this board?

My last two trucks, both Rams, went over 250k miles without much trouble. And they both were running okay when I changed them out for something new.

Rams are good trucks now. Certainly better than anything Ford makes.

I've owned 3 and they were all good trucks. I didn't put near that many miles on them but I don't drive that much annually.

Fine, for 10 year old trucks.

Rams run badly longer than Fords run at all.

TBH, and this is just my own recollections as an old fart, in the '90's up till about at least 2010, there was a perception based on lots of reports with Dodge trucks having crap interiors and expensive transmission problems.

Today, I would have no problem giving one a look and considering it.

I've been in the used car business since 2005 and anything made by Chrysler would be way down on my list. I actually love the look of the new Ram trucks but I know they are widdled turds. A nice looking POS.

Go walk around a Dodge service area. Lots of Hemi motors on the floor.

Never been much of a fan of dodge trucks, (GMC owner here), but after seeing a commercial for the 2019 model, I went and looked at them on the lot.

I have to admit, they look really nice, both inside and out. If I was in the market for a new truck, I would definitely go check one out.

Not sure if I would like the knob “shifter” though

Never heard any dodge owner say this about any dodge vehicle.

My Dodge Ram made me a mechanic so I give it credit for that. It was a flaming pos

Just dumped off an F-250 king ranch that I was expecting to get around 250k out of, was the biggest pos I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned a few Fords, spent enough repairing it between 100-120k to buy a new half ton.

My 2500 with the Cummins has been great. No issues. And when I bought it the interior was much better than the Chevy/GMC trucks.

Mine is a 15 with 65,000 miles. The AC went out 3 times and three different sensors have gone out as well. It’s junk in my book
