My doctor prescribed them after I told him I quit drinking. Left his office and won’t be going back.

Same with Ozempic

There is a direct correlation to the use of antidepressants and mass murders but the pharma industry does a very good job keeping that under wraps

No way that chart's not legit...
I'd post it everywhere if I were you.

surprised by Iceland and the Scandinavian countries. Assuming this chart is in any way accurate.

The more people seek care the higher prescription and medical expenses / usage will be.
Why are so many teens now having meniscus tears that need repair?
Why is skin cancer so much more prevalent?
The more providers you have with the ability to order prescriptions or medical procedures, the higher the costs will rise and it won't stop anytime soon. We're looking mat another 18-20% growth in mental health providers over the next 10 years or so making it one of the fastest growing occupations in the US.

Their numbers are largely Seasonal Affective Disorder due to the longer winters, lack of sunlight for longer periods than we see here.

It isn't.
It's from 2016, posted on some bullshite click bait site, and the US stats, along with most of the rest of the "data" , are completely a WAG.
But people accept anything they see on the web as fact so...

People get paid to dish out prescriptions. I thought we all knew this.

Richest countries in the world and everyone invents a reason to be depressed, and people actually living in shot holes can’t get antidepressants.

I agree. Back when I was having marital issues, along with many other things in my life, including losing a job, a best friend of mine passing away, and my mother having dementia, my doctor prescribed me Zoloft (lowest dosage possible).
I took it for about 8 or 9 months, and weened myself off of it. I found that going to therapy weekly helped me far greater than any drug could. I'm not against medication, and I do believe some SSRIs are great for many people to help level them out. But for me, my results came from having an unbiased person help me through some of the darkest times of my life, and he was not afraid to call me out on the bullshite that I had told myself. Along with my health, and my children, my counselor is one of the greatest blessings in my life.

Why is America the only country pharmaceuticals are allowed to advertise?
The US is ranked 38th in healthcare. Canada isn't much higher, at 31 (for the people who say "Canada has free health care").
Healthcare Rankings
In the US, all of these pharmaceuticals are allowed to pretty much be legal drug dealers. I am all for capitalism, but I am also believe in ethics and in the US, all companies have to do to make billions and billions of dollars off the American people is lobby in DC. Or.... infatuate the FDA. After that, you just hire attractive women to go around to doctors. Doctors will buy anything that's sold by attractive women.
This was years ago but a good friend of mine got a job as a medical device/product salesman. He lasted five months. He said on two different occasions he went to a doctor to he had gone to before and an attractive female salesman was in there and the doctor was buying something from her that he tried to sell them the month before.
So antidepressants are over prescribed because of lobbyist and hot saleswomen.

You're citing Numbeo as a source?
Really?

Really?

Patients want them. Americans think there is a pill to fix everything. Of course, that's what the commercials on the picture box say.

Look at the countries listed. It’s white people, good income, the availability of proper medical care, and insurance coverage. Are they overprescribed? Yeah, probably so. But are they under-prescribed in countries without decent healthcare? Look at your third-world countries and their numbers. Some will say those citizens are the happiest people in the world. But their IQ is 60 and their life expectancy is about 20 years lower than the rest of the civilized world
