I dunno, I watched my neighbor crack his skull on an iron railing and called 911 for him and the lady I spoke with immediately confirmed my address and dispatched a fire truck with some EMTs the moment I told her what happened, then proceeded to get more information from me about my neighbor and what happened to relay to the EMTs while they were en route.
I was not told to be calm once.

I would rather a complacent dick on the other end of the line than an either frantic or compassionate nimrod wasting precious time
The “assholes” on the other end of the line are either used to bullshite calls, either numb to the trauma, or actually trying to calm down a hectic situation. Either way, I would want someone with no emotion trying to get an ambulance and/or police on site ASAP

Oh your one of those people who say I can’t comment on something because I haven’t done it?
I’ve never killed anyone, but I know murder is bad just as I’ve never been a 911 dispatch, but know being a dick to someone having a bad day is bad. Obviously used an extreme example, but you get it.

Yeah, like the time I went through the Burger King drive through and when I got home I realized they had gotten my order all wrong. I felt like killin’ a bitch! 911 operator had the nerve to tell me to CALM DOWN.

The same reason TSA employees at airports are jerks. They're glorified security guards / telemarketers trying to show off and make you think they are powerful.
Their job is indeed important, but anyone with an IQ over 90 can do it.

I was watching something where a woman called 911 because a guy was trying to break into her house.
He eventually got in and she went quiet because she didn’t want him to hear her, but the 911 person who already had enough info was still trying to ask her questions.
She was murdered.
