Tell us about the 38k people who die in a span of three weeks ever year from the flu and car accidents.
You're a moron, and you deserve all of the ridicule you're getting.

Nope. Like a man on the moon, the rapid flood of deaths have all been fake. The nursing homes are a bunch of liers too. Knew it.

Oh, so we’re already to you just re-posting past shitty posts? Fine, easy enough to just re-post the answer that already addressed it.
“Imagine melting for an entire thread about people not being more sympathetic instead of opposed to significantly altering their way of life because 38,000 people died, then attempting to side step it this badly when called out.”

The only one ridiculing me is the “curious” guy that can’t stop calling people selfish assholes in a thread where he proudly displayed his hypocrisy.

The doomers aren't going down without a fight. That's not always a good plan.

I wasn't wrong. I posted before this shite was over-hyped and the number of deaths wouldn't exceed what the flu causes.
I was downvoted by a ton of pussy arse snowflakes on this site who wants to see this country fail on a total shutdown. From the media who caused all the TP shortage hysteria, Dr's who got it wrong from day 1 to SWB and Honor Code, shut the frick up and get the frick out of my life. I know what's good for me, you don't.

It's easy to weed out the poors vs non poors in these threads.
Poors - Frick this quarantine stuff man we got to work.
Non Poors - Lets follow the rules so we can save lives.

Because only poor people lose their job right?

Poors- Lets keep it shutdown so I can make more money from the government per week than I do by actually working a job.
Non Poors- We need to start working again so that I don’t become one of the poors.

Lots of folks better be in here commenting that they were wrong and ask for forgiveness for helping contribute to the 22 million people that are no longer employed.
Modern day travesty.

So are you never again going to leave your house during flu season, right?
When was the last time there was a flu epidemic that killed that killed 42,000 people in the US in 1 month while there were extreme measures in place?
The number of deaths has exceeded Flu for the entire 1 year flu season deaths in all but 2 of the last 10 years (2014-15 @51,000 and 2017-18 @62,000). The last time it was this bad with the flu there was no vaccine available, probably the Spanish flu in 1918. By this time next week we will likely surpass both of those numbers.

I mean, because my old, sickly grandma might catch it from you and die.
That's the reason you should practice the protocols in place. No reason to stay in you house, just don't be that guy who ignores all the recommendation because "It won't kill ME". Try thinking about someone else for a change.
quote:
You don’t want her blood on your hands, do you?
...come to think of it, flu seasons really aren’t that well defined. So, you should probably just stay locked inside your house for the rest of your life. Better to not take any chances.

No because any non poor should have enough money saved/credit to survive a few months.

COVID-19 is exactly like climate change. You can't question anything about it and if you do, then you are a non-believer and a science denier. It's kinda like a cult.

This virus was a no win scenario the minute it became a big deal. For a politician if it gets bad and you didn’t do enough to save people, you’re a calloused POS who doesn’t care about human life and puts money above human beings. If you do too much then you’re an authoritarian dictator who’s got to go. For business and industry it’s simply a fear of massive litigation if you don’t toe the line and things get bad, and you put profits above human life.
This was doomed from the start no matter what you did. And so now that the numbers aren’t as bad as people projected, be it from distancing that helped in that regard or it was over hyped from the beginning, now it’s you did too much and screwed the economy.
This was a no win scenario from the get go. There was no chance of winning, unless of course you had a time machine. Then you could win.

Frankly.. That depends on how you define "bad"...
Covid 19 is a new virus that has been introduced to humanity and as a result is highly contagious with very low immunity in the general populace..
In that sense it is absolutely bad...
However, it would seem that with the emerging information indicating there is a much larger section of our population that has already "caught" this virus which in turn (as I understand it...) drastically changes the rate of severity and mortality which in turn would have an impact on any "model" that is being used to make decisions with.. It does in fact reduce the level of severity initially understood by most people..
In that sense it is less worse that initially thought...
We should all be happy about that.

Most folks aren't dwelling on taking sides, they are concerned and willing to do what it takes to get past this.
This. Don't listen to the psychopaths on the far right and far left.
