A good friend of mine is probably the smartest person I know. He’s a medical doctor but it seems like he only did it to appease his family. He’s very creative and I think deep down he wants to work in the entertainment industry.
What makes him so smart? He can grasp almost any concept it seems. Incredible vocabulary and asks lots of substantial questions.

My wife graduated from Columbia, so probably her, as far as book smarts. My dad is very very sharp too.

A guy in a bunch of my biomed classes at A&M. He went to HS with one of my best friends so we’d sit together. Photographic memory and could grasp any concept easily.
We had a statistics class together that allowed for open note tests because of all the formulas involved and he never brought notes or studied yet aced everything. I think he’s an oncologist now.

Guy a couple years ahead of me in high school...Valedictorian in high school, then went to Tulane and was top of his class in Chemical Engineering... then followed that up with law school and was again top of his class. He’s a short, cocky a-hole, but incredibly intelligent. Though I’m in the top 5 smartest people I know (and also an a-hole).

I know a whole lot of very intelligent people, and they are smart in many different ways. I couldn't pick the smartest, but I could pick the smartest for a specific situation.

A medical physicist is a person with at least a masters degree in physics, clinical training in the applications of physics in medicine and healthcare, and usually has obtained board certification by obtaining several years experience in the field, and passing a series of pretty difficult exams. A large number work in radiation oncology, where they participate in the development and implementation of radiation treatment plans for cancer patients, others work in diagnostic imaging doing research to develop new imaging technology, or oversee quality assurance and certification of the equipment used in medical imaging. When a woman goes to get her yearly mammogram and there is a certificate on the wall indicating the equipment is accredited by the American College of Radiology the testing necessary to obtain this accreditation was performed by a medical physicist. I happen to be one.

Buddy who clerked for SCOTUS. Photographic memory and tireless worker.
There has never been a single proven case of a person having a photographic memory. There are people with very good memories, and those that have trained by various methods to improve their memory, but the photographic memory is nothing but a myth.

That’s weird, I remember every titty I’ve ever seen in person.

My dad is pretty damn smart in the ways of engineering and mechanical things.
But my brother was on Jeopardy a couple years ago and is more well rounded.
It’s probably a toss up.
